We have nine faculty members who have obtained Ph.D. from world-renowned universities in Korea and abroad. They are actively involved in various research and social activities for improving domestic and international social work issues. In general we have two tracks in the graduate program, Social Welfare Policy and Social Welfare Practice that aim to foster talented and professional social workers.
The Social Welfare Policy track covers social welfare policies and programs, administrative systems, and laws and regulations related to health insurance, pension, minimum wage, industrial accident compensation insurance, employment insurance, general welfare, public assistance, social welfare for elderly, women, and the disabled. The track aims to develop social welfare policies and systems that improve well-being of the people at the macro levels.
The Social Welfare Practice track covers professional social welfare services, which must successfully address the needs and the issues of individuals, groups, and local communities through the intervention of experts, in response to changes in society. This track provides instruction in professional skills and theories related to individuals, groups, local communities, and others.
